The Peri-Implantitis Kit (4684) is designed for precise implantoplasty and controlled titanium surface refinement.
Controlled Surface Smoothing
Designed for mechanical cleaning and smoothing of pure titanium implant surfaces
Available with:
Normal toothing (red ring)
Ultra-fine toothing (white ring)
When used sequentially, normal and ultra-fine toothing achieve a remarkably smooth surface finish
Shape Options for Clinical Flexibility
“With biological implant complications increasing in prevalence, the Peri-Implantitis Kit from Komet is an absolute MUST-HAVE for any practicing clinician that treats peri-implant disease. Often, the implantoplasty aspect of treatment is difficult due to access. This is not an issue with this kit. The extra-long shanks and contour of the heads make this the ideal tool for navigating around restorations to remove roughened implant surface coatings.” - Thomas F. Glazier, D.D.S., M.S.D. Board Certified, American Board of Periodontology
Recommendations for Use:
Intended for use in a red contra-angle
Optimal speed: 40,000 rpm
Use very low contact pressure (< 2N)
Keep the instrument in continuous motion
Ensure sufficient cooling with sterile coolant
Guide the instrument counter-clockwise around the implant to reduce drifting and maintain maximum control
Not intended for leverage
