CeraTip™ Kit includes 2 CeraTips, a tissue trimmer that allows for a simpler and less invasive alternative to controlling gingival hypertrophy.

It is a pink/red aluminum kit that can fit up to 4 CeraBur's and is autoclavable.

The CeraTip can be used for mucosal surgery applications and gingivectomy and can replace the use of scalpels and electrosurg.

CeraTip Applications:

Exposure of intra-osseous implant sites
Dilation of the sulcas following crown build-up
Exposure of deep cavities in the neck of the tooth
Exposure of impacted teeth
Removal of hyperplastic gingiva (papillectomy)

CeraTip Benefits:

Bleeding is reduced during operation as the instrument tip causes thermal coagulation, sealing the blood vessels

Instructions for Use:

IMPORTANT: Run the CeraTip on a high speed handpiece as fast as you can without water (This allows the instrument tip to generate heat which produces thermal coagulation and cauterizes the tissue while trimming)
Work gently in intermittent mode, exerting little pressure
Always clean the instrument with a nylon brush (Metal brushes can leave discoloration caused by friction on the instrument)
Do not use the CeraTip as a lever. Avoid all activity that could cause jamming of the instrument
RPM recommendations: 300,000-450,000
