Todd has been in sales, leadership, and strategic-planning positions in the dental industry for more than 35 years, starting in 1989 as a sales representative at a nationally known orthodontic-products company and earning promotions through the ranks from regional management to VP of North American Sales and VP of Global Champions and Group Accounts. He then joined a well-recognized dental-instrument manufacturer as VP of North American Strategic Markets before being tapped to fill the role as CEO at Komet USA LLC in 2016 where his experience, vision, and drive to excel are proving central to the company’s growth and future plans.

I am passionate about my work and firmly believe you need to love what you do. John began his career in the dental industry in 1990, where he gained his knowledge and initial experience selling dental rotary instruments. In 1996, he became National Sales Director at a dental-instrument company before returning to rotary-instrument sales as Key Account Manager and then moving to regional sales management with other well-known dental companies. Joining Komet USA in 2008 as National Accounts Manager and promoted to Director of Strategic Markets before becoming Director of Sales, John now manages, guides, and partners with Komet’s inside and outside sales representatives to bring the highest-quality instruments and superior service to dentists across the country.

Personal Statement

I believe in Komet’s products: they work as intended and help dentists achieve quality patient care. As a direct seller, Komet USA puts the products directly into our customers’ hands, and I never need to apologize for product quality. I feel completely at home with Komet instruments, our sales teams, and our entire selling and service process and love the coaching aspects of my position. I can accompany any of the Komet sales representatives on their calls and help them achieve their sales goals.

Collin’s professional path began in 2004 in the financial-services industry, where he originated residential mortgages and refinanced “scratch and dent” loans and then worked his way up to sales management and onto the executive leadership team of a federal savings bank. Changing industries, Collin joined Komet USA as a district sales manager in 2011, covering Maryland and Delaware. In 2014, thanks to his sales achievements and managerial experience, Collin was promoted to Northeast Regional Manager working with Komet USA district sales managers from Savannah, GA, to Portland, ME. In 2017, Collin was promoted to the position of Director of Special Markets

Personal Statement

I always tell our customers that Komet USA is a dinosaur in the dental industry: we’re a true manufacturer and direct seller of our own products. We attribute our consistent high quality to the fact our products originate in our factory at Komet’s global headquarters in Germany and undergo the same manufacturing procedures and quality-assurance checks day in and day out. Our district sales managers are meticulously trained on rotary dental instrumentation and carry all of their product samples into their customers’ offices each and every day. We take pride in becoming an extension of the doctors’ staffs and a trusted advisor in their practices and clinics.

Interesting Fact

I played Division 1 lacrosse at Towson University and still play the game to this day. I’m also an avid golfer and love boating on the Chesapeake Bay with my wife and three children.

Brian offers a wealth of experience in corporate branding; advertising; print, web, and social media; tablet and mobile apps; trade shows; and promotions from his previous position as Marketing Manager with a global water-treatment technology company, where he focused his efforts on the user experience and developing compelling messages that moved audiences to act. Prior to that, he was Corporate Marketer with an international firm based in Charlotte, NC, where he was responsible for creating and managing marketing and print and electronic advertising. Starting his career as a middle-school history teacher before transitioning into the finance world, Dale spent three years at a large bank before pursuing his MBA, earning his degree from North Carolina State University’s Jenkins School of Management. Having worked most of my career for large corporations, I was drawn to Komet USA because of its more tight-knit nature as a family-owned company. I have always enjoyed this job, which is selling direct to the customer and all that it entails: knowing and becoming a product expert; developing and maintaining relationships with customers; training and working with new employees and watching them develop their skills and territories; and working with and being a part of dental laboratories and dental practices by selling them the best rotary instruments made. He now leads new-hire training for all of our inside and outside sales representatives, with a classroom curriculum that covers topics ranging from dental anatomy and product applications to sales procedures and protocols. After conducting initial in-class training, Doug keeps the sales teams informed of new developments through remote video training and product presentations at team meetings and travels to work one-on- one with Komet’s District Sales Managers.

While an undergraduate, she participated in a cooperative education program with a Fortune 500 medical-device company, and as a graduate student, she served as a marketing intern for a leading medical-device company specialized in long-term care. After earning her M.B.A., Clarka was hired as Associate Product Manager at the company for which she interned and was promoted to Product Manager for respiratory products. She then took over the company’s e-commerce product as digital Global Product Manager, where she developed and executed comprehensive product-positioning, pricing, promotional, and distribution strategies.

Working in the healthcare industry gives me the opportunity to create and provide the best products in the market to help improve the quality of life for individuals around the world.  After spending more than two years in the long-term care field, I was ready for a switch to a different market segment, and the dental industry has a special niche within the general healthcare market.  It is my job as Product Marketing Manager to make sure our customers have the right tools in place to provide every dental patient with a positive experience with outstanding results.
